What Causes Vomiting And Throat Pain Post Alcohol Consumption?

I went to a Christmas party & got sick with massive vomiting following excessive alcohol intake & the next day my throat hurt in what felt like muscles or nodes or glands on the right side of my neck. It kept on hurting & has been hurting for 2 weeks. It does not hurt in the throat canal like when you get sick with a cold & have a "sore throat", it hurts in the tissue on the right side & it won't stop hurting. It hurts more when I swallow & is tender to the touch. What can I do?
