What Causes Vomiting Blood While Suffering From Migraine?

I get severe migraines, usually about 4-6 times a month and every time i vomit. When i vomit, its very loud. Very harsh vommiting, which leads to broken blood vessels all around my face. Today i had a bad migraine and after i puked, i was spitting up a lot of blood. Is this serious, or just because my puking was so harsh?
