What Causes Vomiting Up Of Blood And Stomach Pain During Periods?

This is with regard to my sister who has always been having very heavy periods which could go on almost for a month. However during her past two cycles, she has been vomiting blood and has severe stomach pains. The vomitting is normally in the first 3 days of her cycle and then it stops. What could be the reason for this?
