What Causes Vomiting Up Of Yellow Liquid Before Demise?

My mother died two weeks ago. I found her not breathing with no pulse and she had yellow vomit on her mouth. She had a heart transplant three years ago and had just gone in for her annual check up 5 days before and everything was perfect. They doctors have no idea what could have happened. Any ideas? I need to have some peace of mind.
