What Causes Vomiting While Having Hypothyroidism?

I have a friend that can not stop throwing up. She was a big woman and went to the hospital for 3 months. She says that she can sell stuff so strong that she just can not eat. It is not just food it is all scenes of smell. One thyroid is low. Should she see an ENT Doc?
