What Causes Warm And Hard Knot On Cheek With No Pus?

Last night my left cheek felt like I had a pimple. I squeezed it to pop it, but nothing came out. Today, I have a hard knot about the size of a silver dollar, it feels hot but has no head or pus. It is slightly red in color.I have applied ice to no avail.Thanks in advance!
