What Causes Watery Eyes After Balloon Compression For Trigeminal Neuralgia?

my Mom had ballooning of the trigeminal nerve, right side of face. (in August last year) She has had a waterery eye a few times since then. All of a sudden she will feel moisture run down her face. It doesn t do it all the time. Is that a side affect from the surgery?
