What Causes Weakness And Nausea Prior To Onset Of Menstruation?

Occaisonally I have bouts where I feel light headed and immediately have to have 2 or 3 bowel movements. Afterwards, I feel weak and nauseous. Always seems to happen the week before my periord but my ob/gyn is insistent its not a hormone issue. This just started about 2 years ago
