What Causes Weakness In Upper Arm After Insertion Of IV?

I had an iv inserted in right antecubital with dye during MRI. Shortly afterwards while extending my arm during procedure, my right thumb began to involuntarily jump but later stopped. Right after procedure from my elbow to shoulder was weak and numb. Could barely get dressed. It has been 3 full days and I still have weakness and strange sensation in right upper arm.
