What Causes White Chalky Lips?

My 18month granddaughter has had white chalky lips for the past two days. It seems to be just after she eats. She has not been eating anything out of her usual diet. Yesterday I noticed it after she had a bottle of formula and this morning after eating her usual scrambled egg with cheese.
