What Causes White Discoloration Of Skin In And Around Lips?

i have recently noticed whitening/dicoloring of lips and nearby areas.... medicine suggested by the doc are mixed carotenoids capsules and G-folvin and the disorder diagnosed is mucus fibrosis.... can u pls diagnose the cause and suggest medicines for the same..???
