What Causes White Flakes Sticking To The Hair Strands?

I have no lice, bugs, dandruff ext.. but I ve noticed little white pieces only at the ends of my hair you have to really look at the bottom of my hair to notice them and they re small white flakes that look like dandruff but my head is not itchy and I shower everyday.. what could this be?
