What Causes White Marks On Body?

i am writing this letter for my SON.
I observed recently(past one year) there are few white marks on his body. I had taken t one of the dermatologist, eGYPTIAN nATIONAL who said it's the cause of either genetical or due to lack of sunlight. I would like to have your expertise to advs a formula for the said disease as otherwise i afraid it may spread all over the body.
