What Causes White Patches On Fore Fingers?

My wife has white patches over fore fingers of her hands of her body since some 3-4 years.We did not realize in the begining.But it is there.We started to have Ayurvedic treatment for it.We started to use Ayurvedic medicines from Ram Dev medical store.It has stopped to spread over her body but it has not been cured.
