What Causes White Vaginal Discharge Along With Bad Odour Post Hysterectomy?

I am 45 yrs old had a hysterectomy 3 yrs ago. I have continuous thick white discharge with some odor. I have taken borak acid pills it works but once I stop them the odor comes back. I have no std as I have been checked. I am married I am a smoker. Any ideas or suggestions. Thank u
