What Causes Yellow Discharge And Redness In Eye Post Cataract Surgery?

My mother had cataract surgery 1 month ago. She has a yellow discharge and red eye lid. She had Bell s palsy 25 years ago which effected her eye and needs to use artificial tears daily. Does she need to see a doctor immediately. Is there a possibility that the eye has an infection?
