What Causes Yellow Discharge From The Acne On The Back?

I have an oil pustule on my back. It has been burst and cleaned. Antiseptic cream is being applied. But everyday a pale yellow liquid is coming out. How can i dry it and heal it ? Age 67, height 6ft, weight 175pounds, diabetes type 2, copd. nonsmoker for last 12 years
