What Causes Yellow Patches On The Skin?

Recently I have tried a very reputed sunscreen lotion,namely Lotus and after a few days of its usage I saw small yellow patches growing on my skin and stopped its usage totally. Last time I have used this Sun Screen lotion is already one and half months back. I have not applied anything else on skin since then.But these patches are not fading away what should be done?
