What Causes Yellow Spot At The Back Of Throat With Severe Cough?

I have a yellow spot at the back of my throat, it is not painfull, while in Portugal I got flu

symptoms and a really hacking cough, then my voice went, the Doc gave me Augmentin 625gm, I have been home therr weeks now, and the little spot is still there. please advise
