What Causes Yellow Spots On The Legs And Buttocks?

Hi There, I am always finding yellow head spots on my legs and buttocks, they are not sore but begin with a red ring and have a small yellow headed zit in the centre. They are irritating and unsightly. They are not consistent and tend to come in waves, Could this be an allergy or skin condition?
