What Could 2.5 Cm Anterior Mediastinal Mass Indicate?

I had a ct scan done after a car wreck. They found a 2.5 cm anterior mediastinal mass. I was referred to an oncologist/ heart surgeon for a consultation. She told me they can't do a biopsy, and can only remove it she told me she thinks it's thymoma. . I am 40 years old. I live in Michigan but am in the process of moving to Florida with my 4 year old daughter to be close to family. I'm a full time dad. Would you recommend getting a second opinion? If it is thymoma and i have it removed, what are the percentages if I'm a stage 2?
