What Could A Persistent Sore Throat, Swollen Left Tonsil, Husky Voice, And A Purple Vein Mark Near The Tonsil For 3 To 4 Months Indicate?

Hi I have had a sore tickly throat with swollen tonsil on left side only for 3 to 4 months. When talking to people for a littlew while my throat tickles and makes me cough and voice is quite husky. I have been diagnosed with Post nasal drip and prescribed a nasal spray. But what is worrying me is a large purple vein and purple mark in front of my tonsil on the same side. I have been asked to go back to the doctor in 2 weeks if it hasn t improved. It is now over a week and nothing has changed. I am worried
