What Could Be Causing Persistent Right-side Pain Years After Gallbladder Removal And Past Kidney Stones?

Hi, about 6 years ago I had my gallbladder removed due to gallstones and had kidney stones as well. Since then haven t had really any issues with kidney stones. My worry is I ve had right side pain for 6 years on and off. Went away for awhile but resurfaced again and hasn t gone away. I never know when the pain is going to start. Sometimes it s right when I wake up, other times it the middle of the day. And it lasts generally the rest of the day and from there I m pretty much laying down on that side to relieve the pain.
