What Could Be The Cause Of Coughing Up Worm-like Phlegm?

Hi. I ve been coughing up worm-like phlegm for many days. It has a long shape and is definitely harder than phlegm as it forms a worm-like shape. I have been researching about it and found articles about whether it is a roundworm or phlegm. I m genuinely scared and nervous, I don t want worms on my throat. Additional info. is that I have and asthma.
