What Could Be The Lump In Areola With Pain In Breast?

About three weeks ago I noticed a small lump on the right side of my left areola. It is soft, pinkish in color, and painless. It started decreasing in size after a few days, but I just noticed tonight that it's gotten bigger and is bigger than it was before. Also today, I began experiencing sharp pain in the left breast, especially when I lift my arms and also randomly throughout the day. I don't know if it's related to the lump or if it's something completely different. I'm a 19 year old female, and I've never had any problem with anything like this. There is a history of breast lumps in my family, but never anything cancerous and nothing like I have now. There isn't any breast swelling or nipple discharge, and no pain except for the sharp pains I already mentioned. I want to ask my doctor about it when I go back, but I also want to make sure it's nothing serious to where I need to get it checked out immediately. Thank you!
