What Could Bleeding Between Periods Mean?

Hi, My wife and I had protected sex 5 day after period got over. And exactly after one week, that is today, she had some continuous bleeding. We are not ready to have a baby yet so could you please let me know whether is this a sign of pregnancy.. an what we should do..
