What Could Blisters On Lips Post Sex Suggest?

i had sex with my boyfriend a few days ago not even a week and yesterday i got a bad fever blister below my bottom lip....could it be herpes? i mean we did not use a condum and i dont have any bumps like that down below...could it just be a cold sore?
