What Could Blood Test Revealing Borderline Low Mean?

I have been suffering with facial nerve pain for the last 2 years which o am currently taking medication for. I have an underactive thyroid. I had a blood test on Friday and they also did a full blood count. I was telephoned by my dr today and they said it was borderline low and I had to be tested in 3 weeks. What does this mean?
