What Could Brown Discharge With Cramps Suggest ?

Hi. I just turned 40 and am 5'4' and weigh about 120 lbs. I have always been healthy. Lately, I have been having brown discharge. It happens throughout the month. Now I am having really bad cramps and no appetite. Sometimes the discharge is more on the clumpy side.
