What Could Burning Moles On Vulva Suggest?

I have a mole that suddenly appeared on my vulva a couple months ago. I didn't think much of it until the past couple weeks because it's started randomly burning and hurting every so often. Would this be something I would ask an ob/gyn or a dermatologist about? or even my own family doctor?
