What Could Cause A Painful Lump Near My Left Ear That Spread With Swelling And Redness To My Cheek And Temple?

Two day ago,I woke up with pain around my left ear and had a oft lump at the bottom of my left ear just at my jaw joint. Yesterday, I woke with some swelling and red area above my left ear . Today it spread towards my face cheek to tempo area and swollen. What could be causing this.
