What Could Cause Faint Positive Result While On Pill Followed By Heavy Bleeding?

Hi I had two faint positives then a negative by the doctor. Since I have started re-taking the pill and had a bleed for 5 days, heavy with clots. I have since done a test which again is a faint positive. The last time I had sex was in December 2010. Thanks.
