What Could Cause Itching And Peeling Of Foreskin?

My wife had a hysterectomy a couple of months ago and after the healing time finished a couple of weeks ago, we had sex. shortly after that my foreskin became peeling and itchy. Now my foreskin is too tight to pull over the head of my penis and when I do try, it splits in sevral places and starts to bleed. What should I do?
