What Could Cause Persistent Heavy Hair Shedding For Over A Year In A Teenager With Resolved Eczema And Dandruff?

I have been shedding abnormal amounts of hair for a little over a year. My hair falls off very easily and if I run my fingers through my hair I get quite a few strands of hair every time. Despite this my hair has been growing at a steady rate and I don t have any bald patches or really noticeable areas of hair loss. Before I started with some treatment I had really bad eczema and dandruff. However, I was provided with a strong shampoo and some sort of cream which I used for about two weeks, at the same time I was and am still using a softer dandruff shampoo. All of this has worked and the eczema is gone as well as I have no noticable dandruff if none at all. Despite this I still shed a lot of hair. The only other reason I could imagine is because of stress, however, I only feel normal levels of stress and nothing abnormal. General information which might be useful is that I am a male and 18 years old, because of the shedding I only run my fingers through my hair when I m showering and maybe two or three times until my next shower, I try to take a shower every other day, however, sometimes I take a shower every day. I am also planning on alternating between a regular shampoo and the dandruff shampoo from now on just in case if my hair is to dry, however, I don t know if this will make a difference. Lastly, I began with treatment about four months ago and this whole situation has been very confusing since I am loosing so much hair but am still growing hair at a what feels like my normal rate.
