What Could Dark Discoloration Around Penis Head With Red Patch Mean?

My husband has developed a dark discolouration around the rim of his penis head and a red patch (looks like a burn!!) but with no pain. He has very dark orange urine. There is no smell or discharge at all. It is definitely not a STD. Please advise as we are very worried!
