What Could Excess Hives At Night?

I have been having hives and was put on prednisone and benadryl. The hives went away but my face is blotchy under the eyes and feels somewhat like a sunburn. My eyes are still a bit puffy but I also have a cough that tastes kind of like metal. why do these hives only come at night when I am sleeping
