What Could Frequent Spasms Like Stomach Cramps Indicate?

Very painful stomach cramps, more like spasms. Just below the rib cage and pain starts in the centre but moves right across the top kart of my stomach. Feels a lot like contractions but is a lot higher up than contractions would be. Cramps every 15 minutes of so. Painful to walk or stand up, feels like my stomach is going to drop out !! No issues with bowel movements, haven t been sick. This is the fifth day now. What could it be? Please help.
