What Could Heat In Legs Radiating To Knees And Groin Indicate?

I had what felt like heat going through my legs (both) from above the knee going up through groin which did not last long. Earlier I ate half a bagel with cream cheese and had pain in my lower abdomen in a half hour after eating it and then this very uncomfortable warmness. What caused it?
