What Could Noise In Ear With A History Of Labrynthitis Suggest?

my mother is having a strange sound in her left ear when she talks. she has been diagnosed with labrynthitis in the past but that was a few years ago. she lost alot of hearing in her right ear and just this morning she started describing a weird noise that occurs only when she talks. what could it be?
