What Could Popping Sound Around Left Shoulder While Working Out Indicate?

While I was working out I heard a pop between my left shoulder and scanners. Now my shoulder and neck hurts. I m stretching it out pretty good and it doesn t hurt too bad but it feels kind of odd now. Any thoughts on what s going on or what I can do?
