What Could Raised Knots On The Palm Of Left Hand Suggest?

I recently noticed in the palm of my left hand two raised knots near the first and second finger. There is no pain but some light pressure when I use that hand. I key on the computer most of the day and am concerned these knots may be the beginning of a problem. What do you recommend that I do for preventive care? Thanks
