What Could Red Itchy Patches On Breast Suggest?

I have had a very dry, red patch on my left breast for over a month. It doesn't itch or really bother me in any way. It just seemed to appear and was about the size of a dime. Now I'm looking and it's about the size of a quarter. I don't know what to think of it.
