What Could Red Pimples Like Rashes On Eyes Suggest?

I have a 12 month old that has had a red pimple like rash around the eyes seems to come and go, It does seem to spread over the nose are sometimes and have even found some of the spots on one of his ears just one though. SO far we don't know of any allergies or other issues he has. Not sure what to do about it around the eyes. what could it be
