What Could Red, Swollen, Painful And Warm Toe On Feet Suggest?

Hello,

My middle toe on each of my feet has been red, swollen, and warm for about a week. It is also painful to the touch and it hurts when I walk. I did move out of my house in below zero weather, and my toes were very, very cold. I don't think that is the reason, though.
