What Could Sore Penis Foreskin Suggest?

the end of my foreskin is really red and sore. it has been like this for a few days now. i havent had sex for 2 weeks as i am away at university but i was on a course of antibiotics not so long ago and got thrush, i was just wondering if this is related and whether i should go see a doctor before i go home tomorow as i was planning on having sex with my girlfriend.
