What Could The Growth Under The Skin Be?

have suddenly developed a small hard growth under my skin on the left middle finger on the right side of it. It started about a month ago and has gotten slightly larger. It does not hurt unless I press very hard on it and does not move around. What is it & how can it go away? Thank you
