What Could Tooth Abscess With Rashes On Buttocks In Children Suggest?

My 7 year old son has a tooth abscess and also has developed a purple tiny spotted rash on his buttocks he said this rash is sore when he is sitting down, also it does not dissapear with a glass test. He seems fine besides the rash and gum abscess. Any ideas what it could be ?? Thank you
