What Do Bumps On Side Of Frenulum After Piercing Indicate?

Hi, I got my web (tongue frenulum) pierced and recently removed the pierceing after about 3 weeks due to plaque build up. I now have bumps on both sides of the frenulum where the piercing used to be. What do I do? One is bigger than the other. It is pink and white. Is it infected? How do I treat it?
