What Do Cloudy Stools With Clear Mucus And Low Appetite In A Child Mean?

I have an 11 yr old son with some dietary issues. He is currently going thru a phase of not wanting to eat much fruit or vegetables. After noticing several trips to the bathroom, I inquired if he was ill and he replied no. I persuaded my way into the bathroom to look at his bowel movement and he had passed what appeared in the commode as a cloud . Upon wiping he had what looked like clear mucus as if it would have come from a cold. Could this be just dietary? He claims he had urge to go but nothing buy mucus.
