What Do Positive Pregnancy Test After Periods Indicate?

I had a negative home test on 11th Sept. A period that was lighter and lasted less than normal started 12th, so assumed I wasn't pregnant. Now over two weeks later I have 4 positive home pregnancy tests, 2 different brands and all taken at different times across 3 days. Am I pregnant or is this left over HCG from an early miscarriage?
